Ihilani JW Marriott Hawaii Wedding

The wedding of Lauren & Davin at the Ihilani JW Marriott Hawaii at KoOlina.

Lauren & Davin had a beautiful morning ceremony on the Lagoon Lawn.  Purple orchids cascaded from their bamboo archway, framing the couple with perfect views of the Pacific Ocean.  Their lunch reception, at the Malolo Room continued the rich lavender, purple and pink theme with detailed linens and lighting.  They had one of the cutest “cakes” I’ve seen of recent – tiers of cupcakes, wrapped with die cut floral papers.

Four Seasons Hualalai.  Sunset at the Wedding Tree.

Just posted –  an intimate wedding with Julie & Jim.  View the portfolio here.  We flew in to Kona for their afternoon wedding.  I’ve always considered Hualalai a special place for weddings.  It’s hard to explain… It’s private, but with wide open expanses.  After the ceremony, we took the couple for a walk on the beach, lava rocks and ended up with sunset pictures.  Jim, being a lifelong golfer, had a great time shooting photos on the green with his beautiful wife.  As the sun dipped past the horizon, the couple retreated to the beach for a romantic, torch lit dinner.

Kim and Masaki, Hyatt Regency Waikiki.

The afternoon started with Kim and her bridesmaids getting ready in the wedding suite. After photos with the bridal party and family, we moved to the Na Lea Terrace for the ceremony. The terrace is on the 3rd floor of the hotel, and has an overlooking view of Waikiki beach. A very nice combination of a great looking location and being semi-private, in the middle of Waikiki.
The reception followed in the Regency Ballroom. Colors matched throughout, with subtle greens patterned with rich blacks. REA Event’s & Designs did a perfect job with the linen and lighting designs. During dinner, we snuck Kim & Masaki to the beach for sunset photos. A nice way to end the day!
