5 Hot Weather Wedding Tips

It's October. Summer is done, but it's still blazin' hot. I had a wedding last weekend that nearly turned my camera (and me) into a melting pile of goo. So how do you plan for a warm weather wedding? Try these 5 easy tips!

5. Stay hydrated. Outdoor weddings can be tough on guests, especially the older ones. The solution: mini water bottles (8 oz). Ushers can pass them out while guests are being seated. To keep with the wedding theme, peel off the label and wrap colored ribbon around the middle for a splash of color. For bonus points, ask your stationary designer make matching labels.

4. Fans and programs. This summer, I've been seeing a lot of Japanese fans at wedding ceremonies. You can get them at Don Quixote, Shirokiya or online. Have fans on at least every other chair at the ceremony. If the asian look doesn't fit your wedding theme, print oversized programs. They work just as well.
